Best Days for Holiday/Christmas Shopping

November 1st is probably one of the best days to shop because many stores will put their summer and fall items on sale for clearance. Who said you have to get someone a gift that can only be used in the winter? If you know the person on your shopping list needs a new patio set, then you can get an amazing deal on one after the Halloween holiday. You can also get book bags, school supplies and gardening tools at drastically reduced prices.

The Middle of November (8-20)

This is a time when many stores transition from fall wardrobes and products to the winter items. You will also see gift boxes on store shelves with several items in one package. These are normally reduced from the price that is on the package. This is the time to shop in order to get the best selection because these are gifts that many people will purchase when they don’t know what to get someone.

Black Friday November (24-29)

The date of Black Friday changes, but it is always the day after Thanksgiving. Be sure to get plenty of sleep the night before the big shopping day because almost every store has amazing deals that you won’t get at any other time of the year. Look through the ads that are in newspapers a few days before Black Friday so that you can make a list. Try to stick to a budget because you might tend to overspend on the deals that you see. Most stores do offer layaway, so if you see something and don’t have the money for it that day, then put a little money down on it and get it later.

Cyber Monday

If you don’t like fighting the crowds in the malls, you can wait for Cyber Monday to get excellent deals on some of the same items that were in the stores for Black Friday. Most sites participate on this shopping day and don’t forget eBay and Amazon.

December 24

If you’re one who waits until the last minute, you can probably get some good deals on items that are left over from the rush of Black Friday and the typical holiday shopping days leading up to. Some of the big ticket items like televisions and gaming systems that are left will most likely be on sale. Many of the clothing items will also be drastically reduced as well as stores like to begin stocking the racks with spring apparel.

Whatever days you choose to do your holiday shopping – remember patience is key as this has been labeled the most stressful time of year.

Happy Shopping! and thanks for visiting!
